Clog-Free Desoldering

Replacing the venerable SX-80, the new SX-90 Solder Extractor has been improved so that is does not clog! The modular heater has been re-engineered to transfer heat better through the length of new SX-90 Tips. The new SX-90 Tips (see above) will not clog because the isolated hot solder path is designed to stay well above solder melt temperature, preventing even Lead-Free solder from solidifying.

Disposable Sodr/Flux Trap or Glass Chamber

The SX-90 can be used with a disposable Sodr/Flux-Trap paper solder collection chamber or optional re-cleanable Glass Chamber. When the filter is full, just pull out the chamber, pop out the old filter and replace with a new one - all within 15 seconds!

Modular Heater Design

The PS-90 Universal Soldering Iron is ideal for most soldering applications and SMT repair operations where high thermal capacity and flexibility are required. A versatile SMT removal tool, the TT-65 ThermoTweez provides safe, one-handed, rapid reflow and component removal of PLCCs and other 4 or 2 sided SMT components. Unlike other methods, its high thermal capacity and targeted heat delivery remove even the largest SMDs in just seconds without damaging the PCB or risking adjacent component reflow, even on heavy assemblies. PACE's TJ-70 Mini ThermoJet provides safe, rapid installation or removal of chip components, SOT's, SOIC's, PLCC's, QFP's and other surface mounted devices via controlled convective/hot air. A finger-actuated air switch and SensaTemp Control provide safe, "instant use" capability without constant running of an air pump. The TJ-70's pencil grip design lets you target controlled heat right at the solder joints without affecting adjacent components solder or damaging the pc board. Also effective for conformal coating removal via convective softening of urethanes/over-curing of epoxies. Available in SensaTemp (NSN 3439-01-339-4906) and IntelliHeat configurations.

The PACE TP-65 ThermoPik provides safe, rapid reflow and removal of a wide variety of QFPs and Flatpacks. Its high thermal efficiency design targets controlled heat right at the joints, away from sensitive components and substrate areas. The TP-65's self-adjusting, integral vacuum pick with finger switch actuator provides for easy, one handed operation. Available for SensaTemp Systems only.

When the precise application of hot air is required, PACE's TJ-85 ThermoJet Slim-Line Air Pencil is ideal for delivering convective heat for the installation and removal of chip components, SOTs, and SOICs, from large SMDs down to the smallest 0201s. The handpiece's slim line, pencil grip design maximizes operator comfort and control. Also useful for conformal coating removal via spot heating of coating which softens adhesives, urethanes and epoxies. Multiple quick-change nozzle sizes are available. The TJ-85's airflow is actuated with a foot pedal and provides safe, "instant use" capability without constant running of an air pump.

PACE's TP-100 ThermoPik is the newest tool for SMT component removal, designed to reflow and remove QFPs in seconds. The integrated vacuum pick-up lifts the component from the PCB upon reflow. Based on our unique MT-100 handpiece, there isn’t another SMT removal tool that is more comfortable in your hand. Over 10 styles of tips are available. Available for IntelliHeat Systems only.

A redesigned series of Tip & Tool Stands are now standard with all PACE Systems. Each Tip & Tool Stand allows for safe and secure holding of a particular Handpiece, hot tips, Tip Tool, Water Sponge, Cleaning Brush and can be mounted to the side of many PACE power sources. The unit incorporates a new, low abrasive dry wipe made of fine metal coil that won't drop tip temperature, cleans better than conventional sponges, won't damage your tips, and allows for removal of caked on/burned-on lead-free fluxes & oxides. The Sponge/Water Well is still included, but not really necessary! Each Tip & Tool Stand is constructed of heavy duty, corrosion resistant metal.

An optional INSTANT-SETBACK CUBBY is available for use with PACE IntelliHeat units. When connected, it automatically puts the system into SetBack Mode when the TD-100 Iron has been in the cubby for 45 seconds. SetBack Mode means that the temperature is set to just below solder melt temperature so the corrosive action of the leaded or Lead-Free solder is stopped, maximizing the life of your tips! The system returns to normal operation when the iron is removed from the cubby.

LapFlo uses quick connect, plug-in tips that allow for single point or multi-point soldering of flat packs, SOICs, QFPs and other extended lead devices. When used with the Thermal Parting Tip, it acts as a hot knife, overcuring epoxy conformal coatings for easy removal.

The CT-15 is a fast heat up conductive soldering tweezer, that is excellent for removing SMD chips and other 2-sided surface mount components from PCBs. Heats up from cold start in seconds.

TW-15 allows for fast resistance heating for soldering or desoldering of closely spaced connector pins, terminals and lugs. You come in cold, grip the terminal, push on the foot switch to quickly reflow the connector pin or terminal, without contaminating the terminal with solder.

The TS-15 is a Thermal Wire Stripper that allows for temperature controlled, damage free removal of all wire insulation, including Teflon. Designed to quickly remove insulation without nicks or cuts, it allows stripping from #43 wire up to cables with over 1/2" diameter.

PACE's MC-65 MicroChine (for PRC 2000 use only) is a lightweight, variable speed machining handpiece for precision circuitry and substrate repair. including milling, drilling, abrading, conformal coating removal, multilayer excavations, repair of plated-thru-holes, conductor repairs, even your kid's Pinewood Derby, if you are so inclined! With its tachometer feedback, the MicroChine can maintain controlled drilling and milling rates under varying loads. The MicroChine's patented probe brake feature instantly stops machining at a selected layer depth for safe multi-layer repair.
